Take part in a global celebration at the Treehouse

Our community and faith team at the Treehouse are hosting a series of global events to bring the different cultures of our university together.

Beginning with a global cafe, students and staff will be able to cross cultural barriers and sit down for some friendly conversation and plenty of cake. Then to keep the conversation going they will be hosting an open mic night for our community to share their culture through spoken word and song. Finally, stop by to plant your flag and showcase where you're from and leave a message of hope.

UBYOU

UBYOU is a rallying cry for everyone around the University to embrace the different identities and cultures that are represented within our University. Here at Bedfordshire, we want to make it clear that not only can you get an incredible education but you can do it while still being YOU!

Our UBYOU video below and our case studies showcase all the ways that we are supporting our staff and students in being their authentic selves while they study and work. We believe it's only when you can live your truth can you achieve great things.

Inclusion Glossary

Equality - Ensuring that every person has an equal opportunity at pursuing the life that they want.

Diversity - Recognising that everyone is different with differing lived experiences that deserve equal respect and value.

Inclusion - Actively creating spaces in which people can live as their true authentic selves and be supported by the University at large
