Annual Research Conference 2023

Annual Research Conference banner

Following a very successful inaugural University of Bedfordshire's Research Conference in 2022, the University organised a subsequent 2023 event.

Our Annual Research Conferences showcase our research and explore new cross-disciplinary research directions, stimulating new discipline-focused and cross-disciplinary research. They offer an opportunity to learn about research projects and themes across the University, as well as encourage new research connections and inter-Institute research collaborations.

The world of today is witnessing unprecedented challenges at all levels; in order to face them, society needs a strong, sustainable and impactful knowledge base which responds to these challenges with innovative solutions designed to benefit all. Innovation in bioscience, technology, engineering, and medicine brings tangible results, while advances in social sciences, humanities, and creative arts broaden our worldview, tackle negative attitudes, and bring the global community together in constructive collaboration.

The conference took place at our Luton campus on Thursday, 22nd June 2023 between 10am - 5pm.

The conference focused on the three themes that encompass research at the University of Bedfordshire and are reflected in our Research & Innovation Strategy
