• We spent £180 million on new spaces and facilities for students in the last five years, including an award winning library in Luton, our Postgraduate and CPD centre and the Gateway teaching and learning building at our Bedford Campus.
  
  
• 57% of our expenditure is on academic schools and departments. This includes the cost of teaching, course materials and equipment, and the cost of examinations.
  
  
• We want to offer the best possible student experience to all our students. For this reason, almost half of our expenditure is not course-specific. For example, in 2017/18 we invested £4.3 million in our library services, £3.2 million in financial support and £9.6 million in maintaining our campuses.
