Thu 03 September, 2015The University of Bedfordshire Business School (UBBS) has seen its Travel and Tourism degree score a maximum 100% overall satisfaction rating in the 2015 National Student Survey (NSS).
The survey also gave the Business School’s International Tourism Management a score of over 90%; way above the sector average. The performance means Bedfordshire is now a top-25 university in the country for Tourism and Travel courses.
Ratings for Assessment and Feedback, Learning Resources and Personal Development – the latter two hitting 84% and 82% respectively – reached the second-highest satisfaction scores UBBS has achieved in the last half-decade of the NSS.
Acting Executive Dean of the Business School, Gordon Mellor, said:
“We provide excellent business education across a range of subjects together with real life practice based experience. No wonder the student experience here is so strong.”
The NSS asks final-year undergraduates to provide honest feedback on what it has been like to study at their institution.
83.1% of Bedfordshire’s 2015 graduates gave the University their seal of approval, representing the University’s second highest NSS score since the survey began ten years ago, while Bedfordshire remains one of the top-ten universities in the country for improving the student experience
In total, eight courses at the University of Bedfordshire received an overall satisfaction rating of 100% and a further 28 received a score of 90% or above. The survey also showed that Bedfordshire continues to be one of the leading universities in the country for improving the career prospects and choices of its students and for aiding students’ personal development, with ratings of 82% and 84% respectively.
