This afternoon you will meet the Adult Nursing Course Team, who will share an overview of your course structure, the units you will be taking this year and the lecturers that will be leading these unit leads. You will look at what to expect in the year ahead, key dates and deadlines and get some top-tips from final year students.

This session outlines how you will learn and be assessed on your course. The University on-line learning platform ‘BREO’ will be introduced along with Assessment processes and what learning support is available to ensure that you Thrive and Succeed.

Engaging with your Course and University Networks

Engaging with your course, attendance expectations and building a network of support will be the focus of this afternoon. You will be allocated your ‘personal academic tutor’ (PAT) and introduced to ‘StREAM’ our student engagement tool where you will map your learning with your PAT. We will look at wider University development opportunities and end the day with something fun and sociable.

Professional Registration Documents

Courses that lead need registration on a professional register require careful checks.

On this day you will be required to finalise checks on your Qualifications, ID and DBS report.

Also to complete uniform sizing.

These appointments may be in the morning and/or afternoon, and will be confirmed by your course team.
