Win free accommodation for a year competition
- The University of Bedfordshire ‘Win Free Accommodation for a year’ competition is being held by University of Bedfordshire Directorate of Recruitment, Outreach, Admissions and Marketing (ROAM). The prize on offer is a rent free room at the University of Bedfordshire’s Bedford Campus for the academic year 2025/2026.
- The competition is open to those who attend a University of Bedfordshire Open day at the Luton or Bedford Campus on the following dates; Saturday 12th October 2024, Saturday 16th November 2024, Wednesday 4th December (evening) 2024, Saturday 8th February, and Saturday 8th March, and Saturday 26th April 2025. 3. To be eligible to be entered for the prize draw, entrants must have registered to attend and then attend one of the open days listed in point.
- Entrants must then have made an application for a full time undergraduate or full time postgraduate taught course by the 31st July 2025. The prize may only then be redeemed for applicants that have received and accepted an offer and then registered on a course starting in September 2025 at the Luton or Bedford Campus.
- The competition opens on Saturday 12th October 2024. The competition will close at midnight GMT on Thursday 31st July. Applicants should have firmly accepted their place on a course for which they have received an offer by the 31st July 2025.
- The prize winner will receive rent free accommodation for 1 year, however they will be required to sign a tenancy agreement for the period of the free accommodation with the University’s accommodation partner, Homes for Students.
- The winner who signs a Tenancy agreement with Homes for Students will be required to pay a damage deposit of £200 (TBC) to Homes for Students at point of enrolment.
- The prize offered is only at the Bedford Campus, Polhill Park student accommodation – classic en-suite room on a 42-week tenancy. Winners will be chosen at the discretion of (ROAM).
- The winner will be notified via email after an announcement on within 10 working days of the competition closing on the 31st July 2025. The winner will be contacted by the email address provided on their open day registration form. If we cannot contact the winner within 28 days we reserve the right to withdraw the prize and offer it to someone else.
- The winner may be requested to take part in any prize promotional activity and ROAM reserves the right to use the name and location of the winner, their photograph, audio and/or visual recording of them in relation to any competition publicity or for ROAM marketing purposes. By entering this competition, you agree that if awarded the prize you will co-operate with all reasonable publicity purposes if so requested.
- This prize is non-transferable and may only be redeemed by the winner selected by ROAM. There is no cash alternative to this prize should the place prize not be taken up.
- ROAM’s decision will be final and binding, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into regarding the conduct or outcome of the competition.
- The winner will not be eligible to claim any other University of Bedfordshire discount or incentive towards their accommodation.
- ROAM reserves the right in its reasonable discretion: a. to disqualify any competitor whose conduct is in breach of the rules or contrary to the spirit of the rules or the intention of the competition. b. to declare any entries void.
- By entering this competition, you agree that ROAM shall have no liability for any printing, production and/or distribution errors (including but not limited to any errors in University of Bedfordshire, this website or any printed materials) or where there have been any errors in any aspect of the preparation for or conduct of the competition materially affecting the result of the competition.
- Subject to condition 7 above, any personal data submitted by you in your entry to this competition will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and University of Bedfordshire’s privacy policy.
- ROAM reserves the right to amend or waive any of these rules or cancel the competition at any time.
- No refund will be given if the prize winner withdraws from the University or cancels their accommodation contract, or if the University enforces eviction proceedings under their rights as outlined within the tenancy agreement.
- Entry to the competition confirms your acceptance of these rules.

Ipad giveaway
- Organiser:
The iPad Giveaway competition is organised by the University of Bedfordshire, located at the University's Bedford and Luton campus. - Eligibility:
This competition is open to individuals who attend the University of Bedfordshire Open Day Event and are 18 years of age or older. Employees of the University of Bedfordshire and their immediate families are not eligible to enter. - How to Enter:
To participate in the competition, attendees must:
- Share their photos from the University of Bedfordshire Open Day event on their social media (Instagram, X, or Facebook).
- Tag the University of Bedfordshire in their post using the handle @uniofbeds.
- Ensure the post is public so we can view your submission.
- Entry Period:
The competition begins on 12 October and ends on 12am 14 October at 12am. Entries received after this period will not be considered.
- Prize:One lucky winner will receive an iPad. The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered. The University of Bedfordshire reserves the right to substitute the prize with another item of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond our control make it necessary to do so.
- Winner Selection:
The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries. The decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the selection of the winner. -
Winner Notification:
The winner will be contacted via direct message on the platform they used to enter the competition within three days of the closing date. If the winner does not respond within three days, another winner will be selected at random. -
Publicity:
By entering this competition, participants agree that the University of Bedfordshire may use their name, photograph, and entry for promotional purposes in any media without further payment or consideration. -
Privacy:
Any personal data relating to participants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the individual’s prior consent. -
General Conditions:
The University of Bedfordshire reserves the right to cancel or modify the competition if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond our control impairs the integrity of the competition. -
Governing Law:
These terms and conditions are governed by English law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
