The University of Bedfordshire had partnered with Wenta & the University of Northampton to deliver the South East Midlands Start-Up Programme (SEMSUP), which focused on social enterprises and start-ups across the Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire, Luton, Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire.
Funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), this programme offered vital advice and support for entrepreneurs and self-employed individuals.

Who was SEMSUP for?
- Residents of Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire, Luton, Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire. All regions within the South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership (SEMLEP) area.

- 12 hours of business or social enterprise specialist advice and support, to help you start your own business
- The chance to attend useful webinars and workshops
- Business start-up services and benefits
- Grants of up to £3,000
