Sport, the Media and the Olympics

An opportunity is offered to study for a PhD on the topic of journalism, politics and the Olympic Games.

There will be opportunity to attend and contribute to seminars and conferences, and to work with and learn from the Journalism and the Olympic Games (JOG) Team, a group of six senior academics from five universities with a long record of work in this field.

The studentship will be supervised by Professor Garry Whannel, one of the world’s leading experts on the media and sport.
