Annual Research Conference 2024
On Tuesday 25th June, the University of Bedfordshire held the 2024 Conference event to showcase our research and explore new cross-disciplinary research directions, stimulating new discipline-focused and cross-disciplinary research. This event offered an opportunity to learn about research projects and themes across the University, as well as encourage new research connections and inter-Institute research collaborations.
The world of today is witnessing unprecedented challenges at all levels; in order to face them, society needs a strong, sustainable and impactful knowledge base which responds to these challenges with innovative solutions designed to benefit all. Innovation in bioscience, technology, engineering, and medicine brings tangible results, while advances in social sciences, humanities, and creative arts broaden our worldview, tackle negative attitudes, and bring the global community together in constructive collaboration.
The conference theme was ‘Engaging Communities, Building Collaborations’. Discipline-specific and cross-disciplinary presentations offered an opportunity to explore the contributions our research makes to society as research agendas change to accommodate the increasing complexity of our world.
The conference took place at our Luton campus on Tuesday, 25th June 2024 between 9am - 5pm.
