As the buzz of A Level results day arrives today (17th August), the University of Bedfordshire’s Clearing phone lines and online chat teams are ready and waiting to talk to students searching for a university place.

No matter what your A Level, T Level or BTEC results are, Bedfordshire’s Clearing team will focus on how to support YOU – just give them a call on 0300 3300 073 or visit www.beds.ac.uk/clearing now!

Clearing is simply just another way to apply to university and thousands of students successfully secure a place on their dream course through Clearing every year. Bedfordshire’s dedicated admissions team will be manning the phone lines and online chat function 24/7, to help support prospective university students about their options.

David Seaton, Assistant Director of Student Recruitment & Admissions, said: “Results day and the Clearing process can feel like a stressful time for any applicant, so we want to make sure that all prospective students are supported and feel confident in their decision to apply to the University of Bedfordshire. When they get in touch with our Clearing team, they will find out lots of useful information about their course, campus life and the variety of support and funding available to them during their studies. Students, remember we want you to know our focus and support is all about YOU.”

He added: “We’re expecting to receive approximately 1,500 calls from prospective students today alone, so we’re in for a busy day!”

With places still available on a wide variety of different courses offered by the University across its Luton, Bedford and Aylesbury campuses – including Nursing, Sport, Business Management and Psychology – students who may not have received the exam results they expected are being encouraged not to worry and to just give the Clearing line a call or chat online to discuss their options.

With the cost of living crisis on many applicants’ minds, the University wants to make sure they feel supported at all times so an in-house Student Money team is on hand to help those who might need some financial support, money management advice and to apply for additional funding. All first year students can enquire out the University’s affordable on-campus accommodation and each applicant will be eligible for the £1,000 Bedfordshire Bursary to help with living costs during their studies. Meanwhile students who score more than 112 UCAS tariff points will also be eligible for a Merit Scholarship of £2,400.

Virtual 360 campus tours are available 24/7 online and a number of in-person open days are already lined up from today. These allow prospective students to take a look around, meet tutors and experience Bedfordshire’s learning environments.

Through the Clearing hotline, students can also organise direct calls with academics from their chosen course who can help answer questions about workload, activities, term plans and job prospects.
