Luton Sixth Form College students take over Radio LaB
Fri 07 July, 2017Budding DJs from Luton Sixth Form College took over the airwaves of the University of Bedfordshire’s community radio station Radio LaB
Students from Radio, TV and Film courses at the college prepared and presented their own shows over the course of a week, featuring a range of music, features and chat – all broadcast live.
Luton Sixth Form College radio teacher Andy Waterfield said: “It’s great to be invited back to Radio LaB for the fifth year running – it’s such a great experience for our students. This year we had a mix of students from radio, TV and Film, who used the experience as an extension to their studies to stretch and challenge themselves.”
Radio LaB Co-ordinator Terry Lee said: “We really value our ongoing partnership with Luton Sixth Form College and we are always delighted to work with young people from Luton on radio projects. Once again, the students have done a fantastic job with their Radio LaB takeover – every year they never fail to entertain us over the airwaves.”
