University’s Law Clinic reopens in January
Tue 03 January, 2017The University of Bedfordshire’s Law Clinic will reopen in 2017 to help members of the public with legal matters.
The Clinic is a student-run initiative where Law students offer free support and guidance to clients, advising them on the legalities of a number of issues, ranging from housing issues, to consumer queries and problems with work.
All students have been trained in the necessary skills and techniques and are supervised by legal experts from the University.
The Head of Department for Law and Finance Dr Socrates Karidis said: “The Clinic is a fantastic opportunity for our students to bridge the gap between their academic studies and professional practice. It gives them the chance to work with real clients which will help prepare them for their future careers in the industry.”
The Clinic offers one hour appointments, to be booked in advance, between 2pm and 5pm on specific Wednesday afternoons. An email advice and phone interview service is also available throughout the year for anyone who is unable to attend the sessions in person.

- Wednesday 15 February (subject to clients)

- Wednesday 15 March
- Wednesday 22 March (subject to clients)
- Wednesday 5 April, 12pm-2pm (email/phone service only)
- Wednesday 3 May, 12pm-2pm
