Kathryn Wolfe, Course coordinator in BA Television Production, is well versed in the complexities of the role, as this was not her first time on the prestigious panel, which also included;

• Anthony Owen (Objective Media Group)
• Sarah Fell (Executive Producer, Great Marlborough Street Productions)
• Ewan Vinnicombe (Editor, Blue Peter) and Ian McLenon (Director, Entertainment North)

Alongside the rest of the panel, Ms Wolfe had to choose from a long list of productions to create the short list of four, and then decide between Art Ninja, The Dengineers, Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch, and ultimately the winner Sam & Mark’s Big Friday Wind-up.

Commenting on taking part in the judging, Ms Wolfe said: “This is the fourth time I have been invited to take part in the juries to decide the nominees and winner of BAFTA awards.

“The judging process is rigorous, prompting much debate and discussion with high profile producers. It is such an honour to analyse productions and defend ideas with some of the best in the TV industry.

“Being part of the panel maintains our industry connections and feeds back excellent practice to the students.”

The British Academy Children’s Awards have been awarded annually since 1996 at an award ceremony hosted by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA).
