Demonstrating the impact of their social entrepreneurial projects, the Bedfordshire students impressed judges and fended off the likes of Warwick, Newcastle and Plymouth universities over the two day final.  

The Bedfordshire team also received a national award for ‘Most Improved Team’ based on their work over the last 12 months. It’s Rewriting Fate’ project was also shortlisted for the KPMG Unlocking Potential award.

Additional recognition came from another sponsoring company, Enterprise Rent a Car for the team’s  business engagement, while outgoing team leader Alex Iftime, received a commendation for his commitment to Enactus over the last two years.

Enactus University Adviser Paul Harrison from the Careers and Employability Service said: “This was another outstanding year for Enactus, with two terrific presentations at the national finals highlighting their excellent community work.

“This event also showed how committed and professional our students are in the face of high level competition.”

Enactus Bedfordshire students involved at the finals were:

• Ibrahim Eid (International Business)
• Kassim Mustapha (MSc Computing and Information Systems)
• Kai Staines (Psychology)
• Peggy Kakae (Psychology)

They were joined on the stage for the Questions and Answers sessions by Maddie Vararu (Marketing) and Alex Iftime (Business Decision Management).  

There were 35 universities at the final with over 700 students, judges and advisers in attendance.
