The partnership will see the University support the club and, in particular, continue to sponsor seven MK Dons Academy teams, ranging from the Under-9s to Under-15s.

Dr Gordon Mellor, Milton Keynes campus director said:

“We are committed to not only provide high quality educational facilities in Milton Keynes but raise the profile of the importance of this type of education within the local area.

“Partnering with MK Dons has given us a great opportunity to build that awareness locally but also support some talented individuals coming through the youth ranks at the club.

“We are delighted to continue the partnership.”

The partnership, which runs until at least the end of this season, includes corporate sponsorship which will see the University brand across various MK Dons digital and print platforms, as well as big screen adverts at stadiummk.

The University of Bedfordshire in Milton Keynes has been a club partner since the 2013/14 season making this its third season as a partner and supporter of the MK Dons Academy.

The Dons’ youth teams are overseen by Director of Youth Mike Dove, who said of the link between the club and the Milton Keynes campus:

“It is fantastic to see the University of Bedfordshire getting behind the Academy and showing support to local boys aiming to achieve their dream.

“This partnership also highlights to our young players how important education is and points to an alternative future if they do not make it in the professional game.’’
