The awards celebrated students who have successfully completed placements in universities, commercial companies, voluntary organisations and research institutions across the UK.

We have been supporting placements over the past three years and this year supported five places to local students.

It was also an opportunity for parents, teachers and supervisors to view the work and the posters that each of the students have created.

This year, the event was attended by about 60 local students who had completed their placements at the University of Bedfordshire, GlaxoSmithKline, The Open University, Cranfield University, Lister Hospital and Xerox to name a few.

Helen Spencer from the SETPOINT team said: "We had a lot of very positive comments from students and parents; it was a really relaxed and successful event."

Paula Page, the Collaborative Outreach Project Manager said: "It was an honour to be able to host this event and the student’s works was really impressive.  Nuffield and SetPoint were so impressed by our facilities that they would like to hold the event here again next year.  There was a real buzz around the campus."
