The University of Bedfordshire Business School (UBBS) has been recognised for its start-up and business growth advice with the award of a Small Business Charter Bronze Award. The award recognises the role the Business School has played in helping to kick start local businesses.

The UBBS had to undergo a thorough assessment to ensure that it met the criteria for the award. The Small Business Charter (SBC) looked at how the University supports SMEs, how it engages with networks catering toward Small Businesses, and how it supports start-ups. In each of these areas the University has put a number of initiatives and programmes in place to demonstrate our commitment to SMEs.

There are only 21 business schools across the UK that have been awarded charter status by the Small Business Charter (SBC). The award demonstrates the University's commitment to business and entrepreneurship, and opens up doors to deeper collaboration with industry.
