UCMK sponsors Excellence in Education award
Fri 10 October, 2014University Campus Milton Keynes (UCMK), part of the University of Bedfordshire, has sponsored the Excellence in Education award at the Pride in Milton Keynes awards.
The awards recognise the achievements of special people within the area; those who have gone out of their way to help others, those who have overcome hardship and those who support a positive attitude within the community.
Mary Malcolm, Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University, presented the finalists with their certificates, with each winner receiving a trophy on the night.
Alexa Wilkinson of MK-Snap, accepted the trophy for Excellence in Education on behalf of the CEO of MK-Snap, Maureen McColl's. Maureen won for her work in creating over 21 creative and stimulating subjects for educating adults aged 16-plus with learning difficulties.
Dr Paul Sant, Associate Dean UCMK said: “It is great to be involved in such a worthwhile community event. The finalists should be extremely proud of their achievements. I congratulate the winners of the awards and wish them the best in future endeavours.”
The awards were held on 3 October at the Hilton Hotel, Milton Keynes.
