Research Designs - What Works?

This lecture focuses on evaluative designs including single case study, comparative and experimental designs, considering three research designs for evaluating 'what works' in Social Work: 

• Before and after studies
• Quasi-experimental designs
• Experimental designs

The evaluative research tradition will be considered, including logic models and realist approaches.
