I joined the Department of Language and Communication in 2010. I hold a PhD in Language Testing and an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Bedfordshire.
The course units that I design and teach are deeply intertwined. I have a keen interest in designing and teaching research, TEFL and EAP units. The courses I have taught include research methodology, data analysis for MA and BA in the Business School of the University of Bedfordshire, and I also supervised twenty undergraduate students. Currently, I am involved in teaching Academic skills training, Academic English skills and research skills to postgraduate, undergraduate and Foundation year students. I am also the unit coordinator for Academic skills development, Academic skills foundation, Academic skills for HSS and General English.
Besides this, I am also contributing as EDI (equality, diversity and inclusion) Lead for CEFL, Associate member at Postgraduate Research (PGR) Student and Staff Training, member of the Staff Experience Committee, Inclusive learning officer at Women Networking Group UoB, Aurora champion and Mental Health First Aider.
I also have a keen interest in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, especially statistical and thematic analysis in language testing and applied linguistics research.
