Renxi Qiu and colleagues in IRAC who recently completed an EU Horizon 2020 funded project termed 5G-ERA this week received some excellent feedback from the commission. Their report concluded that the research had “delivered exceptional results with significant immediate or potential impact.” Additionally, they noted that “the project produced a substantial amount of research outputs, validated in relevant conferences in the field of robotics (ICRA 2024), including specific special sessions organized by the project, such as at EuCNC.” The University of Bedfordshire was recognized as a key innovator in technology by the review panel that comprised of experts from Airbus, Siemens, and a number of highly ranked universities.

A key recommendation from their report was to keep “the open-source results alive by providing support and growing a community around them.” We (They) will continue our dissemination.
