Timeframe for obtaining CAS for Student Visa Application for Continuing Students
8 Weeks Before Your Visa Expires
- Apply for a CAS online. You must upload relevant documents on the form. This request will be assessed followed by the stages listed below.
- Prepare the documents you need to apply for your visa (please see the list and sample of documents).
- If applicable, you must also provide evidence showing that you have started to maintain the required amount in your bank account.
- Please note the required amount in your bank document should be continuously maintained for at least 28 days and the statement must not be more than 31 days old at the time you make your student visa application.
7 Weeks Before Your Visa Expires
- International Office will review your CAS request
6 and 5 Weeks Before Your Visa Expires
- International Office will contact Faculty to confirm the academic side of your studies.
4 Weeks Before Your Visa Expires
- International Office will contact UKVI to confirm your immigration history (if necessary)
- International Office will follow up your academic history and progress with Faculty (if necessary).
3 Weeks Before Your Visa Expires
- Interview will be arranged and your bank document will be assessed (if applicable)
2 Weeks Before Your Visa Expires
- If your CAS request application is successful you will be issued with your CAS details and provided instructions on how to make your student route visa application online
- Once you have made your application, you will be required to provide us with evidence of submitting a valid application to UKVI.
1 Week Before Your Visa Expires
- Visa expires and you should have a pending in-time valid application with UKVI
