Luton has a large, vibrant Pakistani community and a local community hub in Bury Park in Luton, not far from the university. Local foods and society groups are very active here and across Luton as well as a wide selection on religious centres including on both our Luton and Bedford campuses. Local events such as Mela and EID festivals also add to the special feelings of home that living locally and studying at the University of Bedfordshire has. We also have a growing Pakistani society in our Student Union where you can meet and have fun with other university students. All of this and access to London which is only 22 minutes on the direct train from Luton means you can also visit the diverse capital city and all it has to offer.

Fees & Scholarships

Our High Achievers Undergraduate Scholarship for Pakistan is worth £3000 off international tuition fees for each year of study. To receive the award, the below criteria must be met. Applicants must be:
- Classed as International/Overseas fee-payer status. Home fee paying students are not eligible.
- Achieve 900/1100 or more in the Pakistani Year 12 exams
- Applying for the first year of an undergraduate course at level 4 (first year) commencing in January 2025 only (Applicants looking to enter at level 5 or 6 are not eligible as they would not be entering on the basis of an eligible qualification)
- Applicants for the International Foundation Year would not be eligible, but would receive the International Foundation Year Scholarship
- Students who are successful in being awarded the bursary will not be eligible for any other scholarships or bursaries, but will be eligible for the prompt payment discounts on tuition fees.
Our Postgraduate Global Merit Scholarship is worth £3000 off the total international tuition fees for the course. To receive the award, the below criteria must be met. Applicants must be:
- Classed as International/Overseas fee-payer status. Home fee paying students are not eligible
- Applying for a postgraduate course between September 2024 and July 2025
