Hello! Ciao

The Italian community has been thriving in Bedford since the 19th century and has made significant contributions to the town's cultural and social life. From introducing traditional Italian cuisine, to opening ice cream and coffee shops, their café’s, shops and restaurants have stood the test of time and still have prime spots on the high street and beyond. You should go to the Italian Food Shop in the Harpur Centre. The annual "Festival Italiano" celebrates this heritage with music, food, and cultural events, highlighting Bedford's enduring ties to Italy. Further afield, London and it’s vibrant and diverse communities are only a 22 minute train ride away from our Luton campus. Italian students are enrolled in a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by the University; popular courses include Engineering, Computer Science and Business.
