Predicting Metabolic Syndrome in midlife: a life course analysis using the 1958 British birth cohort.
Summary
Metabolic syndrome (MetS) increases the risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and death from all causes. Prediction models could be used to forecast future risk of MetS and to guide preventive interventions. The aim of the study is to identify and utilise existing risk models to predict MetS in midlife using the 1958 British birth cohort data.
