Principal Lecturer in Public Health & Public Health Portfolio Lead

Currently employed as Principal Lecturer in Public Health and Academic Public Health Portfolio Lead at the School of Healthcare Practice at the University of Bedfordshire (UK).

Dr Regmi is responsible for providing academic leadership and development of the suite of courses within the public health portfolio - MSc Public Health, MSc Global Health, BSc Public Health, and short courses in public health and health systems.

He has a proven track record of professional practice, course development, leadership, teaching, and research in the health field, having worked in public health for the last 20 years.

This has involved undertaking a variety of course leadership, teaching and research responsibilities both internationally (DFID UK, British Council, UNICEF, USAID, WHO, Save the Children, Department of Health – Nepal) and in the UK (NHS, University of Surrey, West London, Liverpool, Open University, East London, Bedfordshire).

Dr Regmi has also taught online courses at the University of Liverpool (MSc Public Health) and the Open University (BSc Health). His research interests are wide-ranging, although he has a special focus on health system research, including primary healthcare, health sector reform, health inequalities and international/global health.
