Postgraduate research students

iBEST staff offer supervisory opportunities for prospective students that wish to undertake a research programme of study. (Such research programmes are quite distinct from taught Master's programmes - that are not part of the research institute remit and are described elsewhere.)

iBest welcomes research degree applications in the following areas:

  • Ageing and infection
  • Biochemistry and cell biology
  • Cancer
  • Computational Biology
  • Environmental Biotechnology and Sustainability
  • Forensic Science
  • Immunology
  • Diabetes
  • Metabolic disease
  • Microbiology
  • Neuroscience
  • Pharmacology

If you are interested, please apply via the Research Graduate School

Prospective students interested in working at iBEST on other project areas should also apply via the Research Graduate School - but the response will take longer since each project must be individually assessed.

NOTE: Potential applicants need to secure funding before making an application.
