Postgraduate Tuition Fee Alumni Scholarship 2024/25

The University of Bedfordshire values its alumni and is proud to offer a scholarship worth 20% of your fees for postgraduate on-campus master’s courses to those who have successfully completed an undergraduate Honours degree from:

• The University of Bedfordshire
• DMU’s Bedford campus
• The University of Luton

This discount applies to both full-time and part-time Master’s courses and is valid for the 2024/25 academic year.

Terms and Conditions

Eligibility

You may qualify for the alumni discount if:

1. You are a final-year UK undergraduate progressing directly onto, or returning to study, a taught postgraduate course in the academic year 2024/25.

2. You meet the academic criteria for postgraduate study:

Eligibility for PhD or MPhil

A 2:1 or above in your undergraduate study or a Master’s degree in the relevant subject area.

Eligibility for MSc/MA by Research

A 2:2 or above in your undergraduate degree the appropriate subject.

3. You are a former student of the University of Bedfordshire, DMU’s Bedford campus, or the University of Luton. Students who completed their studies before 2005 may need to provide proof of eligibility.

4. You are in good financial standing with the University.

Exclusions

The alumni scholarship is not available for the following courses:

• Professional qualifying courses
• PGCE teacher training
• Master’s in Social Work
• Master’s in Nursing

These courses are excluded as they attract bursaries.

Application Process

1. Apply for Your Course

• Choose your course and submit your application via our online portal. Links to the portal can be found on each course’s webpage.
  
  
• While most postgraduate courses have no specific application deadlines, we recommend applying at least 30 days before the course start date. Some courses (e.g., UCAS or Department for Education applications) have different procedures, which are detailed on the website and in the prospectus.

2. Verify Eligibility

• The University will confirm your eligibility for the discount at the time of application.
  
  
• You may be required to provide proof of your qualification from the University of Bedfordshire, DMU’s Bedford campus, or the University of Luton.

3. Discount Application

• Eligibility will be confirmed by the Admissions team before registration, and the Finance team will apply the discount upon registration.
