Academic Scholarship
Academic Year 2014-2015 - for reference only
The Academic Scholarship is automatically awarded to students who achieve academic excellence in their studies prior to entering the University of Bedfordshire.
It is available to students who achieve a least 280 UCAS points in one sitting, with at least 200 UCAS points at A2 level.
An Academic Scholarship is worth £900 in your first year of study at University.
For UK students It is paid in two instalments and is a mixture of Aspire card credit towards books and digital resources and a flexible payment option to allow recipients to get direct payments towards accommodation, travel, childcare costs or receive payment in cash.

Who is eligible for the Academic Scholarship?
- Academic Scholarships are only available to UK/EU students who are not on an NHS-funded course.
- Applicants must have made the University their firm choice when applying to UCAS.
- Applicants must be on, or have applied for, a full time BA/BSc/B.Ed degree for which the maximum allowable fee is charged for UK/EU students.
- Applicants must have an entry qualifications score of at least 280 UCAS tariff points gained in one sitting, with at least 200 points at A2 level.
- Academic Scholarships are awarded based on the qualification and grades supplied by UCAS and held in our student record system.
- Applicants must be a new entrant student to the University of Bedfordshire for the 2015/16 academic year.
- Applicants must meet the normal course entry requirements.
- Evidence of qualifications must be produced. If your results are not forwarded to us via UCAS, we may write to you requesting copies of your examination certificates.

Who is not eligible for the Academic Scholarship?
- Overseas students paying full overseas fees
- NHS-funded students
- Students on a course at the British School of Osteopathy
- Qualifications which do not appear on the UCAS tariff
- Student applying for Foundation degrees
How do I apply for the Academic Scholarship?
You do not apply for this scholarship, it will be awarded automatically.
Once we receive your results from UCAS we will notify you if you are eligible for this scholarship and you will be awarded the scholarship after you are registered on the course.
