Unconditional offers
An unconditional offer provides a guaranteed place to study on the course you have applied for at the University of Bedfordshire. Unconditional offers are usually made when an applicant already has everything in place to meet the entry requirements for the course that they are applying for.
Why might the University make me an unconditional offer?
The University of Bedfordshire recognises that there may be benefit to eligible applicants in having the certainty that their place is secure before they start their level 3 examinations. Where an applicant has received predicted grades of 120 UCAS tariff points or above, a positive academic reference and there are no academic professional body requirements outstanding, they may be eligible to receive an unconditional offer or have their existing conditional offer amended to unconditional.
I have an unconditional offer. What do I do next?
The University would recommend you work hard to achieve the best grades possible but you can do so with the reassurance your place is guaranteed and you can plan your university journey with certainty. For September 2025 entry, home applicants achieving a minimum 120 UCAS tariff points will receive our High Achievers Scholarship of £1,500* across three years of study. There are also a range of qualification specific Excellence Scholarships that if achieved will pay £2,500* per year which is £7,500 across a three year course. This is one of the most generous scholarship schemes in the sector and worth keeping your foot on the gas for!
If you have already firmly accepted your place with the University of Bedfordshire, you don’t need to do anything. Just continue to work hard to get the best grades you can. If you have not yet made your firm choice in UCAS, make sure you do so by the decision deadline that UCAS have given you. Should you choose to firmly accept your place at Bedfordshire, you can do so with the confidence your place is guaranteed, leaving you free to focus on your studies. What criteria does the University use to assess whether an unconditional offer can be made?
- Applicants who have not yet met professional body requirements required for courses as part of their entry criteria cannot be considered for unconditional offers. These requirements include:
- GCSE requirements at grade 4 or above
- Passing a subject-specific A-level or equivalent level 3 qualification. - Applicants would not be considered for an unconditional offer if their predicted grades from a recognised further education provider are lower than 120 UCAS tariff points.
- We would not make an unconditional offer if an applicant’s fee status is not clear and a fee assessment is required to determine whether the applicant would be a home or international fee paying student.
