Dr Shuo Wang
Lecturer in Strategy
Dr Shuo Wang is a Lecturer in Strategy in the Department of Strategy and Management at Bedfordshire Business School.
Dr Shuo Wang joined the University of Bedfordshire in 2021. Before moving to Bedfordshire, she worked at Essex Business School and Newcastle Business School where she was awarded her PhD in Human Resource Management.
Shuo has accumulated rich experiences in delivering and managing a range of Business Management and HRM modules/units at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels:

Shuo has rich experiences in supervising undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations/projects. She is also the Personal Academic Tutor for international students.
Shuo is currently the unit coordinator/leader for the following units:
- SHR016-3 Strategic Management for Business (UG)
- SHR004-3 Strategic Management (UG)
- SHR043-6 Integrated Management Projects (PG/MBA)
Research Interests
Dr Shuo Wang is an active and keen early career researcher. Her research interests include (but are not limited to) women's careers, healthcare workers and medical careers, work-life balance, emotions at work, and culture & HRM. Her current research focuses on female medical professionals' career development in China and the international comparative studies of female professionals' career development (qualitative studies).
Dr Shuo Wang is the main participant and coordinator of the running projects funded by the National Social Science Foundation (China). She is the academic lead for the University of Bedfordshire Doctoral Studentship Funding Scheme 2022 - UK Home Student Waiver PhD Scholarships Program/Project.
