Lecturer in Human Resource Management
I have over 30 years’ experience in the Retail Management sector. Effectively managing over £2million turnover stores and managing/recruiting large teams >100. I increased profit by 5% in majority of the stores by aligning strategic business and people goals. I have held HR specialist roles for the Region, (access of over 300 stores) and created the processes of performance management of people and succession planning. I am a successful communicator with negotiable and collaborative skills which achieve best results for all.
I have experience in recruitment and selection in management, inclusive with training and development of people throughout their induction.
I have held roles within organisation throughout management roles, creating new procedures for development of competencies of team, this was rolled out nationwide. The ability to understand and research using data analytics and customer databases, the most required competencies within the sector which will achieve results across the chain.
Competent in training and development of management needs and targeting the right skills to develop in order to achieve KPI’s.
My academic journey has seen me achieve up to my Masters, this year (2023), I aim to pursue my PhD. My area of research is in EDI, and work behaviour.
