Senior Lecturer in Aviation Management

Sam is a Senior Lecturer in Aviation at the University of Bedfordshire Business School.

Sam is the Course Leader for the BSc (Hons) Aviation and Airport Management degree programme.

Prior to working in the higher education sector, he worked at various tour operators and airports in and around Europe. In addition to his role as a Senior Lecturer, he is a police officer (SC) with West Midlands Police, based in the Airport Policing Unit at Birmingham Airport.

Sam completed his undergraduate degree in BSc (Hons) Aviation Management and postgraduate degree in MSc Air Transport Management, both at Coventry University. He holds a PGCE in Education from Buckinghamshire New University. Sam is a member of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

Sam brings his current and previous industry experience into his teaching on a range of modules, including ‘Aviation Safety and Security’, ‘Managing People in Aviation and Tourism’ and ‘Global Airline, Airport and Cargo Operations Management’.
