Lorraine Davenport
Senior Lecturer in Tourism Management
I have been lucky enough to spend my working lifetime either in the travel and tourism industry or in an educational environment sharing my passion of the industry with my students.
Tourism, hospitality and events are ever changing and I have enjoyed roles in companies from the largest such as TUI, both overseas and in the UK, to running my own hospitality business as an entrepreneur.
My experience of teaching is equally wide-ranging across all different levels in small and large groups. I like to make learning real and for me this involves practical elements such as planning and running events, for example, most recently at Lords Cricket Ground and The House of Commons.
Currently, I am the Course Leader for Tourism Management courses, including with Hospitality or with Events. I lecture on both the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Tourism Management courses.
