Suzy Mosedale

Senior Lecturer in Post Qualifying Social Work

Suzy MosedaleI took up my role as Senior Lecturer in Social Work at the University of Bedfordshire in 2023 and I current lead on the Post Qualifying course and will be leading units across our other qualifying courses as well.

I have been working as a social worker since I gained my MSc in Social Work from the University of Bedfordshire in 2012. I have worked with Child Protection and long term family work in a Local Authority setting. Prior to this I had experience working in the voluntary sector with a focus of working with children, mental health and homelessness.

I am a qualified Practice Educator and completed my training in 2016 and have supported and assessed student social workers and newly qualified social workers in practice since this time. I completed my foundation in Systemic Practice in 2018 alongside establishing a teaching unit in the Local Authority I worked in which I lead on for three years.

Throughout my career I have continued to work with the University of Bedfordshire through supporting with selection processes, group task assessments and guest teaching. More formally since 2021 I have taken an active role in the BLMK Teaching Partnership.
