Dominic Morton
Senior Lecturer and Course Lead for Paramedic Science
I qualified as a Paramedic in 2015 and since then have worked various roles within the East of England Ambulance Service and also spent 5 years with the RAF Reserves as a medic. I have worked as a frontline responder on Emergency Ambulances and Rapid Response Vehicles, and in the control room as a remote triage clinician and later as a Clinical Coordinator.
I have always had a keen interest in educating the next generation of paramedics and during my time in the ambulance service greatly enjoyed mentoring students on their placements by helping them put their theoretical knowledge into practice. It is this this interest which brought me to the University of Bedfordshire in 2023. Since then, I have completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education and gained my FHEA status.
I look forward to developing in my academic role and educating future professionals.
