Kirsten Lovegrove
Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing
I began my nursing career as a Health Care Assistant in an Intensive Therapy Unit and was seconded by the Trust to complete my adult nurse registration. On qualification I returned to ITU working within both the NHS and private sector as an ITU matron. I specialised in Neonatal Nursing, caring for critical ill babies, where I developed my passion for teaching as a practice development nurse supporting the multi-disciplinary team. I started at the University of Bedfordshire as a lecturer in 2021, progressing to a senior lecturer in 2022.
