Senior Lecturer in Nursing
I am a registered postgraduate nurse with a clinical background in Vascular & Colorectal nursing and specialist Enterostomal Nurse since 2002. I took up my position at UOB as a Senior lecturer in adult nursing in 2022.
Before joining UOB, I have been teaching clinical subjects, Nursing education, and research for undergraduates and postgraduates since 2002 in a different educational setting, concurrently serving as a nurse manager of a 44 bedded colorectal and vascular unit.
I have set my teaching philosophy to prepare professionally competent and safe nurses by supporting students to acquire the necessary clinical skills to face the challenges of a dynamic and complex healthcare system. As a teacher and a nurse specialist, my teaching philosophy reflects my passion for nursing by being a student-centered, pragmatic teacher focusing on students' active participation, their needs, autonomy, relevant skills, and collaborative learning with peers and teachers.
