Senior Lecturer in Midwifery
I have been teaching Midwifery & Nursing in a number of educational and clinical settings both in UK and Greece. As part of my link Lecturer role, I am also supporting students while they are in placement at Luton & Dunstable University Hospital.
My main research interests are women's health research, VBAC, Breastfeeding & Tongue Tie, supporting women's/birthing people human rights in maternity. My MSc dissertation focused on designing an effective VBAC scoring model in order to improve VBAC rates and women’s experience within UK and Greek Maternity Services.
I took up my position as Senior Lecturer in Midwifery in 2021 and enjoy adopting a creative and innovative approach to teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
As a midwife, I feel very blessed, not only because I witness the miracle of a new life but I am honoured to experience couple’s transition to parenthood.
My main aim when teaching is to give students wings to fly and direction to pursue their hopes and dreams.
