On any day, you might be making, performing or producing new work under the guidance of visiting directors or choreographers; creating live and recorded performances, documentaries, feature films and TV shows in our professionally equipped theatres and TV studio; or putting the finishing touch to character make-up in the studio, on a shoot or at a live event.
You learn your craft from an experienced team of industry professionals and can put your skills into practice with real-life broadcasting on our own stations, BedsTV and RadioLaB.

Our Spaces
You can work on Beds TV, our student television station, which incorporates the sports channel Bulls TV.
This is a facility dedicated to news programming. There is a small TV set with lighting and two cameras, a radio news booth and a transmission gallery.
Edit suites including Apple Macs equipped with the latest editing software.
A space for students to learn the craft and techniques used in specialist media make-up and character design.
At the University of Bedfordshire you have the opportunity to gain experience presenting or producing a radio show on our own award-winning community radio station, Radio LaB 97.1 FM.

Living and studying in Luton
Luton town is packed full of cultural diversity. It has plenty of bars and restaurants, an 11-screen cinema, bowling lanes, a shopping mall and indoor market, football stadium and other sports facilities, and a vibrant arts and cultural scene based around the Cultural Quarter.
There are excellent transport links to the rest of the UK and Europe. Luton lies just 50km north of London - the capital is only a 30 minute train journey away. In addition, London Luton Airport is only 2.5km from the main Luton campus.
Luton’s surrounding area boasts a wealth of parks and open spaces including ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, Dunstable Downs, Wardown Park and Luton Hoo stately home.
