Partnership and Consultancy Working
The Faculty of Health and Social Sciences has strong working relationships with colleagues in a range of higher and professional education settings, regionally, nationally and internationally.
These relationships support the co-creation of innovative courses and foster collaborative research activity.
We draw on the expertise of practitioners working in diverse health and social care contexts, as visiting experts and speakers. We involve service-users in the design and delivery of courses and assessment of students on qualifying courses.
We work purposefully with our commissioners to develop bespoke training and development activity. This includes work with individuals, with teams and with organisations.
Recent examples include workshops for clinical teams focused on strategies to manage difficult situations and conversations (avoiding undermining) and faculty development initiatives for educational supervisors. Service improvement projects have included work around the safeguarding of vulnerable adults and work to enhance the care of people with dementia.
If you would like to discuss bespoke consultancy, projects, apprenticeships or training activity, please contact the Partnership Office at HSSPartnerships@beds.ac.uk
