The Faculty of Health & Social Sciences offers a range of innovative courses attracting students from a wide variety of backgrounds. The Faculty takes a flexible, often work-based, approach to teaching and learning which encourages reflective practice. All teaching and learning is informed by research and grounded in a robust evidence-base.

Dr Anthony Farrant, Head of Quality & Practice

Prior to coming to the University of Bedfordshire, I was a research associate at the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, University College London, working on the ethical issues involved with telepresence technologies for a European Commission funded project.

Professor Gurch Randhawa, Institute of Health Research (IHR)

I am a Professor of Diversity in Public Health and Director of the Institute for Health Research at the University of Bedfordshire. The Institute generates research which informs policy and practice in the areas of social work, social care, youth work, special education, young people and their families, vulnerable social groups, youth justice, community safety, and law and professional practice.
