Student Testimonials
Anthea Krempa, BA (Hons) Applied Early Years Studies (Top up)
My university journey began three years ago. I had many worries such as, was I too old? what if I cannot find time and am I clever enough. I would be lying if all these fears disappeared when I started, however, these fears were eased and supported by my tutor Karen Siddons. When I completed my Foundation Degree, I thought my journey had ended! However, with tutor persuasion I found myself signing up for my BA Top Up. Although the last year was not what any of us expected we all managed to achieve what we set out to do. This was achieved by sheer determination and the dedication of all the university teaching staff, who we are in gratitude to as they have worked tirelessly to get all of us through. While at University I discovered many things about myself, my ability, my resilience and discovered a whole host of soft skills that I didn’t know I possessed! I have made some amazing long-life friends. So, my advice to you, if you are undecided about early years educational studies, I would say go for it. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Good luck and you have got this!

One of the best parts of this course is the consistent approach and support by all the course tutors which helped to make learning enjoyable in a relevant context. This course has helped me to become a critically reflective practitioner whereby I now have the confidence to question and improve my practice so that I can better support the learning and development needs of young children.
