Sioux Cooke
Senior Tutor (Primary), Phase Leader for Primary undergraduate (QTS) and Course Leader for 3-7 (QTS)
I joined the University of Bedfordshire in August 2024 as the 3-7 Course Leader, English specialist and also as Phase Leader for the Primary undergraduate QTS courses.
I have over thirty years experience in Early Years and Primary education as a Headteacher, Senior Leader and teacher. I also worked as a Consultant for the National Strategy with a focus on supporting schools to make improvements within Maths and English.
I am passionate about ensuring that every child is provided with the best possible opportunities for them to succeed. In my role as Senior Tutor at the University of Bedfordshire I feel privileged to be able to work with our trainee teachers.
I currently teach on the undergraduate QTS courses for Years 1, 2 and 3, working with students from both the 3-7 and 5-11 pathways. I also lead English for our primary undergraduate QTS courses and work closely with colleagues across a number of the units taught as part of the curriculum for our students.
