Neh Efimba
BA (Hons) Early Years Education, 2016-2019
Current role
Since graduating, I have been studying for an MA in Education and Social Justice and I am almost at the end of my course.
How my course benefited me
My course was very versatile in the sense that I could follow various career pathways such as teaching, social work, working for the local council and working for the police. I decided to go on to do a masters in the same university because I know that the lecturers are top notch and the support in general from the University of Bedfordshire has been amazing.
Campus life
Campus life was interesting from the wide range of library resources to facilities at the hub, including the restaurant. The Gateway building was my most cherished area of study with the designated areas for resting.
What I most enjoyed about my degree and studying at the University of Bedfordshire
My course was well delivered, and the lecturers were very supportive considering every student’s ability and unique way of learning. They were quick and responding to queries and made you feel comfortable during lectures.
A memorable moment/s
My most memorable moment was when I submitted my dissertation the joy that both my supervisor, other lecturers and I had was testament to the fact the lecturers want to see you succeed.
My future aspirations
My future career goal is to work for the United Nation (UN), to contribute in providing quality education to children everywhere and promote an educational system that is fair and just for all, no matter your background or circumstances.
My top tips for current students
My advice to students is to endeavour to attend all lectures as much as possible and to read ahead of lectures, but also engage with Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) and Personal Academic Tutor (PAT).
