School of Education at Bedfordshire
The School of Education offers a broad range of education-related courses at foundation-year, undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including Master’s and doctoral study. Our courses offer students three broad areas (some that permit cross-discipline study): Education; Initial Teacher Education; and English.
The University of Bedfordshire has a long, successful history of initial teacher education (ITE) going back to 1882. It is one of the largest providers of ITE in the region, able to offer placements across 500 partnership schools and other associated organisations.
Our Education courses focus on developing your employability and career management within the broader education sector so you can progress within your chosen field. We have strong links with community and professional bodies, providing opportunities for you to build your network and gain placement experience. Several of our courses provide the opportunity to gain a degree or complete your ITE alongside your employment in education, such as in schools.
