Dr Xiaohua Feng

Dr Xiaohua Feng is a Senior Lecturer at School of Computer Science and Technology with expertise in Computer Security, Networked System, AI, Data Science, Computer Law and Machine Leaning/Deep Leaning, focusing on Computing education and pedagogics. She has been investigating machine learning models for cyber security cases several AI-driven methods for communication systems. She is currently working on some projects on AI driven models.

Dr Xiaohua Feng received her PhD degree from the University of Manchester, with Awards winner. She had worked as a Post-doc Research Associate at the University of Liverpool. She served as NCCR (National Cyberstalking Centre of Research) academic research CST leader from 2016-2021. Dr X. Feng has over 100 peer reviewed scientific publications in reputable journals and international conferences with hundreds cited. Dr X. Feng has secured grants from EU, and Nuffield foundations as the Principal Investigator of the projects. She received the Excellence Award in Project Supervision in 2015, 2016 and 2018. She has been the recipient of three IEEE Best Quality Awards from peer reviewed reputable international conferences and was invited to deliver a number of keynote speeches at several international events.

Dr Xiaohua Feng have been the Director of Computer Security and Digital Forensics Course since 2011 to present. She is portfolio leader 2009-2010. She also act as employability and placement manager. Had delivered 10 guest talk to BCS, IET, link universities and so on. She is mentor of External examiner in AI HEI course and Cyber security. She is a Fellow of HEA, Member of BCS, MEPC (Engineering Professors Council), Member of IEEE Hyper Intelligence Technical-Program Committee Panel and Member of IET. She is an Overseas Research Studentship (ORS) Award winner, the Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Principles 1996 UK.

She is currently serving as an Associate Editor for Springer journal and IEEE Transactions. She has chaired more than 20 international conferences (e.g. General CoChair for ACM International Conference on Computer Science and Application Engineering CSEA 2018, IEEE International Conference on Big Data Science and Engineering (BigDataSE-2023), General Chair of European CloudCom 2024 and Executive General Chair for IEEE International Workshop on Applications of AI, Cyber Security and Economics Data Analytics (ACE) from 2017 to present. Xiaohua Feng has served years in UK industries and embedded her experience in computer science teaching. Have a track record of 6 AY 100% satisfactions in BUS survey. The students I taught, three achieved the Best Graduate Award, Five of the best project awards and Two of the best student award, respectively. Currently have successful completed five PG research students’ supervision and still have five PhD students’ supervision.
