Rohitha Weerasinghe

Dr Rohitha Weerasinghe is a Senior Lecturer at University of Bedfordshire in Mechanical Engineering. After graduating from Imperial College London where he read gas turbine combustion, he worked in academia as well as in the industry for over 20 years.

He has specific expertise in Energy, Mechanical Engineering and Automotive Engineering, Computational Fluid Dynamics and computational modelling with working experience in the building industry as an energy and sustainability specialist.

He worked as Head of Sustainability at MWL, Senior Lecturer at UWE and Deputy Dean of Academic Affairs at GCET Oman before joining Bedfordshire.

With a wide portfolio of teaching experience at different levels ranging from diploma to postgraduate levels in Mechanical Engineering and Energy, he has an active portfolio of research in energy, thermofluids, powertrains and sustainability.
