Dr Juan Carlos Jacome Fernandez

Senior Lecturer in Electronic Engineering

Dr Juan Carlos Jacome FernandezDr Juan Carlos Jácome Fernández joined the University of Bedfordshire in 2013 as a PhD student. While studying for his research degree he performed academic activities as a Visiting Lecturer in Milton Keynes campus and joined the academic staff as a full time Lecturer in October 2016 after submitting his PhD thesis.

Prior to transferring to the University of Bedfordshire as a PhD student, he was pursuing his PhD in Brunel University when he started his research in 2011, focusing on designing and constructing a single-aperture camera capable of capturing 3D scenes in real time as part of the European-funded project consortium “3D VIVANT”.

He began his academic career in Brunel University where he completed a BEng degree in Computer Systems Engineering. During his degree he also worked as an Application Engineer at Intel Corporation, providing services for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Thermal and Acoustic testing for Intel's customer platforms.

When not immersed in electronics, robotics and 3D printing, he enjoys riding his electric unicycle (EUC), dance Latin rhythms “when appropriate”, and listening to all music genres.
