Christiane Matz
I’m a narrative based Illustrator who primarily identifies through drawing.
My pieces often origin in the observance of the everyday using various medium to explore the atmosphere of what I see. I then develop my research further in which the observed is paired with the imagined. These works start with line drawings and then refract through painting or drawing.
I’m originally from Germany, living in London. I studied MA Visual Communication at the Royal College of Art and did my undergrad in illustration at Birmingham Institute Art and Design.
